Behind the Art

Dutch artist Sharon Vreeken, the face behind Studio Vreeken, brings a background in product design and a lifelong love of art and interiors to her practice. Founded in 2019, the studio is where those worlds meet: colourful, feminine and often a touch playful, built on strong shapes, outspoken colour and familiar scenes given her own twist.

Inspiration comes from everywhere: travel, fashion and interiors, but just as easily a long lunch, a drink in the sun or a small moment from everyday life. Sharon translates the atmosphere of those moments into images, sometimes with a hint of humour, sometimes quieter. Her work is made not just to hang beautifully, but to add something to a room and be a pleasure to look at again and again.
