Behind the Art

Sofie is a Danish artist based in Copenhagen, whose works explore the connections between inner and outer landscapes. Her intuitive process involves examining organisms microscopically, transforming them into paintings that blur the lines between different living beings, creating unique landscapes of their own.

She mainly works with oil pastels, layered with wax pastels and coloured pencils creating textured surfaces that embodies both a fragility and complexity.
