Phthalo Ruth's work is inspired by leisure and life's little luxuries. These "luxuries" are often a fancy cocktail or a quiet moment with a cup of coffee. The illustrator uses many analog techniques and materials such as cut paper, gouache paint, linocut, and charcoal. She is always striving to strike a balance between play and sophistication.
